My Story

I started my career with a simple belief. Technology should make life and work easier for people, not harder.

Since then, I’ve worked across software development, systems architecture, project delivery, Agile coaching, IT governance, consulting, and senior technology leadership. I have led teams, reviewed systems, managed delivery challenges, advised business owners, and helped leaders make sense of complex technology decisions.

One lesson has stayed with me through every role and every project. The best results come when you understand the people, the business, and the pressure points first.

That is why “people before technology” is still at the heart of how I work today. It helps founders and leadership teams cut through noise, make better decisions, and move forward with more clarity.

My Mission

My mission is to help businesses make better technology decisions with less stress, less jargon, and fewer expensive surprises.

That might mean stepping in as a Fractional CTO, reviewing a software proposal, improving IT governance, helping a team deliver better work, or giving a founder plain-English advice before they commit budget.

The goal is always the same. Clearer decisions, stronger delivery, and technology that supports the people using it.

What I Believe

I believe technology should support people, not frustrate them.

Good consulting starts with listening. Before recommending tools, platforms, vendors, or delivery changes, I work to understand the business, the people doing the work, and the outcomes that matter.

I also believe the best consulting relationships are honest and collaborative. No theatre. No buzzword fog machine. Just practical advice, clear communication, and steady progress.

My Experience

My background includes assisting healthcare networks, automotive companies, real estate groups, and more. As a result, each project gave me a broader view of what technology can do. I witnessed how well-planned IT governance policies shield a firm from unexpected issues.

I have also guided multinational teams through major upgrades, learning that success hinges on clarity and consistent follow-up. By blending technology insights with human empathy, White Internet Consulting supports clients through real change.

My Approach

I break tasks into manageable steps, each focused on a clear target. Whether it is Fractional CTO work, IT Strategy alignment, or Project Management guidance, I choose proven frameworks for stability. For instance, some teams benefit from Scrum, while others find value in Kanban boards. Practical methods work best when combined with open communication.

In addition, I keep leadership front of mind. Through Agile Coaching or Leadership Growth Programs, we help clients build stronger teams. As a result, a business that invests in its people gains fresh perspectives, which can shape better strategies over time.

Proof in Practice

One of the most useful things I do is help clients avoid expensive technology mistakes before they happen.

In one recent engagement, I reviewed a proposed software build before the client committed further budget. The review identified delivery risks, security gaps, unclear assumptions, and areas where the scope needed more detail.

That gave the client a clearer view of what was missing, what questions needed to be asked, and what should happen next before moving forward.

Good technology advice is not just about choosing tools. It is about making better decisions before time, money, and trust are wasted.

Who I Help

I mainly work with non-technical founders, business owners, leadership teams, and growing organisations that need senior technology guidance without hiring a full-time executive.

Clients often come to me when:

  • Technology decisions feel unclear or risky
  • A software project needs an independent review
  • Delivery is drifting and the team needs more structure
  • Vendors are hard to compare or manage
  • Governance, security, or compliance needs attention
  • A founder needs senior technology advice before committing budget
  • A team needs calm leadership, mentoring, or Agile coaching

Experience That Shapes My Work

My background is broad because real business technology problems rarely sit neatly in one box.

Over the years, I have worked across software development, systems architecture, IT management, project delivery, Agile coaching, governance, cybersecurity, data, consulting, and executive leadership.

That matters because clients do not usually need advice from only one angle. They need someone who can understand the technology, the business risk, the people involved, and the decisions leaders need to make.

This is where I can help. I bring practical experience from the technical detail through to the boardroom conversation.

Credentials and Experience

My background combines hands-on delivery, technical leadership, Agile practice, governance knowledge, and advisory experience across a wide range of industries.

  • 35+ years of experience across software, systems, delivery, leadership, and consulting
  • Former CTO and senior technology leader
  • Professional Scrum Master certification from Scrum.org
  • Certified Network Security Specialist
  • Bachelor of Computer Science
  • Experience with IT governance approaches and frameworks, including COBIT
  • Project delivery leadership across Agile and traditional environments
  • Mentoring and coaching for technical teams, leaders, and founders
  • Practical experience across finance, government, retail, education, automotive, resources, and professional services

Why Work With White Internet Consulting?

When you work with White Internet Consulting, you are not getting advice from someone who has only read the theory.

You are working with someone who has written software, led teams, managed delivery, reviewed systems, advised leaders, supported governance, coached Agile teams, and worked through messy real-world technology problems.

That means the advice is grounded in practical experience. It is not about chasing trends or making technology sound more impressive than it needs to be.

It is about helping you make better decisions, reduce risk, and move forward with a plan your team can understand and use.

How I Work With Clients

Most engagements start with a simple conversation.

First, I listen. I want to understand your business goals, current systems, delivery pressures, risks, team structure, and what feels unclear.

Then I help separate the urgent problems from the background noise. This avoids jumping into expensive fixes too early.

From there, the work may include a system review, technology roadmap, vendor assessment, delivery support, governance advice, Agile coaching, or Fractional CTO guidance.

The aim is not to make technology sound more complicated. It is to make decisions easier, reduce wasted effort, and help your team move forward with more confidence.

My Consulting Approach

My approach is practical, structured, and designed to reduce confusion.

  1. Understand. I start by understanding your business goals, people, systems, risks, and current frustrations.
  2. Assess. Next, I look at what is working, what is unclear, what is creating risk, and what needs attention.
  3. Prioritise. Then, I help you focus on the decisions and actions that will make the biggest difference.
  4. Guide. Finally, I support the next step through advice, planning, mentoring, governance, delivery support, or Fractional CTO guidance.

The goal is always the same. Better decisions, less confusion, and technology that supports the people using it.
